BPIMS Screen Layouts
There are three types of screen designs within the BPIMS system:
Single content window screen
Project workspace screen
Split content window screen
All screen design types have header and footer menus.
SINGLE CONTENT SCREEN DESIGN
A single content screen is made up of three menus - header menu, main menu and footer menu and the one content window.
PROJECT WORKSPACE SCREEN DESIGN
The project workspace navigation is made up of five menus - header menu, Project Implementation Process (PIP) menu, Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) menu, main menu and footer menu.
The PIP menu is a single graphic image that allows users access to the lines of PIP with links to resources and work instructions by clicking on the different PIP phase images.
The PMBOK navigation structure, which has many layers, is represented by a multi-level dropdown menu.
SPLIT CONTENT SCREENS
A split content screen displays two different sections of the same module, to view in one and edit in the other. Placing your cursor on the frame line between each view, move left or right to increase the width of either the Display View or Details View area.
The Display View
is used for displaying lists (e.g. project's contract/s, people, subcontractors/subconsultants,
framework lines, resources, roles, keywords etc). By
clicking the radio button next to an item in the list,
the details on the right-hand side of the screen, Details
View, will display.
The Details View of the screen is used for entering, editing and saving details.
By placing your cursor on the frame line between each view, you can move left or right to increasethe width of either the Display View or Details View area.
Navigation buttons appear on both the Display View and Details View.
